WP Leader: CERN - Participants: CNR, NKUA, FAO, FIN
for T5.1
CERN and CNR were involved in the activity of integration of gCube with JAVA7:
- All the hosting nodes in dev have been moved to run with JAVA 7
- The third party services running in dev infrastructure have been moved to run with JAVA 7
In addition CERN has released the org.gcube.distribution.4.0.0 subsystem in the context of gCube 3.0.0
Other activities on the task were the Full Text Indexing of all OAI-PMH collections in the FARM VOVirtual Organization; and the deployment of the MarineSearch VRE in pre-production.
Lastly CERN and CNR started the process of dismissal of the UMD node ( site suspended to be closed in May)
for T5.2
CNR and NKUA been keeping up and running the provided nodes hosting development, testing and production GHNs.
CNR has moved some nodes the new hardware, to distribute load and improve performance and deployed 10 new nodes in the production infrastructure, 1 new VM to run Cotrix . 1 new development host to test modifications to the i_marine portal.(GHN free)
NKUA planned the upgrade to UMD-3 and installation of Argus and CVMFS and upgraded all non production VMs to Java 7
for T5.3
CERN Released messaging.2.3.0 for gCube 3.0.0 integration
CERN started integration of the new Resource Accounting library, a Mapper component was developed in order to retrieve data from the old backend and publish them with the new library and started implementation of a new module for Social Portal accounting

During January, in T11,2, effort was spent on making Index and Search System service platform independent and expose RESTful API. In this context a set of libraries (called Resource Aware Service) has been developed in order manage the resources in the RESTful services and assist the client library development for these services. Also, new version of the data-transfer components has been developed, which use an enhanced version of the Storage Management portlet as well as a new version of the Data Nucleus library. Moreover, D9.3 and M40 have been reviewed Finally, the implementation of WFS Utils for the OWC4J has continued, allowing integration into GISViewer.
In T11.3, effort was spent on finalizing the specification of the XSearch APIs. Also, the implementation of these APIs has started.
None
- OWS4J project has been published on the gCube SVN:
- updated data-transfer components released for gCube 3.0.0.
