This WP10 Activity Report described the activities performed in May 2013 by Beneficiary and Task.

T10.3 Data Mining and Visualisation Facilities
CNR Activities
CNR worked on the maps comparison functionality #1432 to perform discrepancy analysis among AquaMaps distributions at different time instants. In such context much effort was spent in layers information retrieval from GeoNetwork #1617 which required polygonal representation of WFS features. CNR also worked on Spectral Analysis facilities #1045 in order to enhance the Time Series analysis features. About Trendylyzer, CNR worked on algorithms for trends extraction from obis #1653 and in the setup of database schema to store the computations #1743.

T10.4 Semantic Data Analysis Facilities
FORTH Activities
During this month FORTH worked on modifying xsearch-portlet and concluded to a more scalable design which allows the analysis of more hits as they are requested by the user (#1006). Moreover FORTH further worked on the exploitation of RDF properties of linked data in X-Search. To better illustrate the usage of link-analysis techniques for this reason a usage scenario has been provided (#960). A more detailed description of the activities can be found at XSearch_wiki_page. A related paper that acknowledges the support of iMarine that has been accepted for publication is the following:
