This WP4 Activity Report described the activities performed in April 2012 by Beneficiary and Task.
It is part of April 2012 Monthly Activity Report.
T4.1 Communication and Dissemination
Trust-IT Activities
- generation of flyer and circulation for feedback;
- definition of terminology & concepts for iMarine dissemination & communication use;
- generation of content on iMarine & gCube applications for channel (30 new items in April'12) and flyer;
- preparation of synergies with FIN, IRD & OBIS to identify mutual visibility opportunities and new content for the project channel;
- generation & release of 1st eNews;
- 2 interviews: 1 written & 1 video edited.
- Definition of flyer is delayed, next flyer to be released in early May 2012.
- eNewsletters during m1-5 not produced to concentrate on generation of content for channel. eNews will be monthly from April onwards to ensure community aggregration & to meet target KPIs.
- eNewsletter Edition 1 - April 2012 circulated to 256 contacts;
- 1 new video edited and released;
CNR Activities
iMarine was presented at the Royal Flemish Academy for Science and Arts in Brussels on April, 18 2012. At the event many interesting discussions followed with the community of the Marine Board Forum. In particular Dr. Harry R. Kolar, IBM Distinguished Engineer, expressed interest in the gCube GIS Viewer technology, Dr Filip A.M.J. Volckaert, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Department of Biology, and Dr Jean-Francois Masset, Ifremer - Department for European and International Affairs, expressed interest in the iMarine e-Infrastructure and its approach.

FAO Activities
- Assisted in the kick-off of a community facing terms and definitions document
- Assisted in the review of imarine production materials
- Initiated a demo on ICIS and VTI; a descrition, storybook and software identification
