Main Discussions and Actions

On January 2014 Activity Report

On WP1 Activity:

• The summary of February '14 activities;

• The big news is that the amendment has been officially approved.

• NEAFC contract: it seems that there is a request for a 5 years sustainability, however iMarine (as an entity) is not in a position to guarantee this while single partners, namely CNR, can do that.
  • the contract is between ERCIM and NEAFC;
  • an MoU can be set up to deal with the open issues, rather than modifying the contract.
  • ERCIM will be back on this;

On WP2 Activity:

• The summary of February '14 activities;

• There are many opportunities for disseminating iMarine results.

• On EUDAT collaboration:
  • EUDAT is not publishing much information about their services, this is hidden if you are not a member of "the community". This was the motivation for the proposal, i.e. to have more details;
  • the collaboration give us the possibility to start better understanding each other;
  • as soon as more details will be available, the TD will mobilize the appropriate iMarine teams;

On WP3 Activity:

• The summary of February '14 activities;

• On Data and Sharing Policy Document:
  • what is the version under discussion? This will be managed by FAO;
  • from the project pov there is no action expected;

• On Chimera Validation and VME-DB Validation:
  • is there any feedback that has to be disseminated to the rest of the consortium?
    • VME-DB is in a Google Doc;
    • Chimera is in Jira;

• On IRD activity:
  • there is neither evidence nor communication with the rest of the consortium about the activity reported;

On WP4 Activity:

• The summary of February '14 activities;

• On ICRI iMarine event preparation:
  • People have been invited;
  • Eleni (NKUA) will circulate the name of the confirmed participants;
  • One of the problems is that the Agenda of the event is "empty";
  • Eleni (NKUA) will circulate the list of the speakers;
• For the booth, Trust-IT will prepare the presentation;

On WP5 Activity:

• The summary of February '14 activities;

• How long will take the downtime:
  • the whole day of tomorrow is planned (few hours is for the update, more time is for verification);

• Re the D4Science portal upgrade:
  • the same downtime applies for this portal also;

On WP6 Activity:

• The summary of February '14 activities;

• The TD highlights how the latest releases complete the picture and the integration between VREs, workspace, and social;

• The MarineSearch VRE will be deployed tomorrow, right after the downtime;

On WP7 Activity:

• the summary of February '14 activities;

• a new release should be scheduled for the beginning of April;
  • the list of candidate components should be produced, including
    • TDM and Statistical Service;
    • Search and data Transformation;

On WP10 Activity:

• The summary of February '14 activities;

• In the context of SmartFish there is an activity of exploiting iMarine facilities;
  • The TD will involve NKUA and FORTH;

On WP11 Activity:

• The summary of February '14 activities;
