Main Discussions and Actions

On 9th TCom

The target location is Crete and will be hosted by FORTH.

The time constraints are:

  • FORTH can organise it for the last week of June, from 23rd on.
  • there is a potential clash with the iMarine Board ... today or tomorrow this will be fixed;
  • The TCom can be organised also in July, first two weeks;
  • A final decision will be taken by the end of this week, after having fixed the dates for the iMarine Board meeting;

Other constraints/positions (almost all partners are out of travel budget):

  • FAO has no possibility to phisically participate if the meeting is not organised in Rome;
  • NKUA has no possibility to participate if the meeting will be organised in Rome, even in Athens (e.g. because of strikes);
    • Crete is the most economic place;
  • for CNR (they consumed the travel budget) it is cheaper to participate in a meeting in Crete than in Rome;

On April 2014 Activity Report

On WP1 Activity:

  • The summary of April '14 activities;
  • The final review date fixed and confirmed, it will be on Nov 25, 2014. The rehearsal is Nov 24;
  • The final project event will be in September 17, 2014;
  • A couple of effort report (for Jan and Feb) are sill missing, ERCIM will solicit the missing partners in the coming days;
  • By end of June ERCIM will circulate an update picture of budget;

On WP2 Activity:

  • The summary of April '14 activities;
  • A news on VME-DB is planned, Anton will provide Sara with few lines on the event;

On WP3 Activity:

  • The summary of April '14 activities;
  • IRD interaction is a bit difficult, Anton is reporting problems in having information from them, the same is for WP6;
    • they are potentially interested in biological enrichment facilities, however there is no concrete request yet;
  • FAO will have a call with NATO colleagues, Anton can use the catalogues on the web site;
    • if additional information is expected than we should make a try to complement this descriptive offering;
  • On sustainability, a message to pass should be:
    • infrastructure and its services will be offered for 2 years after the project end;
    • Sara suggests that these aspects are discussed at the next SB and a clear statement on Sustainability be prepared for the web site;
  • A number of experiments are ongoing by relying on the Statistical Manager, these should be published in the Wiki;
    • FAO will prepare the Wiki page;
    • CNR will modify the Wiki structure by adding something like "Experiments";

On WP4 Activity:

  • The summary of April '14 activities;
  • Webinars on openchannels.org should be organised, one in mid/late July and one in September;
    • topic(s) should be selected and confirmation should be sent by Sara;
  • On VRE portfolio, a draft of a potential document was created and circulated to Lino and Anton;
    • the goal is to have a description that is not technical at all;
    • if feedback is ready by end of this week then the document can be completed in a couple of weeks;
  • On Final project event, the draft agenda will be defined by mid June;
  • On iMarine Search Mobile App
    • FAO will check the disclaimer;
  • On ICRI Workshop
    • it is ongoing
      •  ???

On WP5 Activity:

  • The summary of April '14 activities;
  • April represents the moth used to pass the duties from CERN to CNR and NKUA;

On WP6 Activity:

  • the summary of April '14 activities;
  • No report has been produced;
  • The TD will contact ENG for more information;
