NKUA Activities
- A new library has been implemented as part of the Application Support Layer sub-system offering a persisting logger for jobs being executed in the gCube system.

E-IIS Activities
In the reporting period E-IIS continued to work on the integration of SAML Identity Federation with Registration and Login portlets, according to the ticket #1718. Besides, E-IIS worked on the overall deployment of the Portal-side Identity Federation on the testing infrastructure, in particular:
- Shibboleth Identity Provider has been deployed on a public machine hosted at CNR, in order to simulate an external domain for the federated authentication.
- Shibboleth Service Provider has been integrated with the portal using CAS-Shib and the Security Library, according to the ticket #1747. In particular the current version of the Liferay portal has been integrated with CAS-Shib/Shibboleth SP using a Servlet Filter which enriches ASLSession with the SAML Assertion Id.
The overall deployment is almost finished, but the Portal-based Identity Federation is still not working properly due to some issues on the E-IIS testbed.
Furthermore, E-IIS supported NKUA for the integration of the resource accounting library in PE2ng engine.

During this period FORTH continued the design of the XSearch APIs. The activity has been logged in the related ticket. The designed APIs will be also presented in the forthcoming TCOM. Related ticket: #1886
