2012.09 WP9: Data Management Facilities Development Monthly Activity By Task and Beneficiary
From IMarine Wiki
This WP9 Activity Report described the activities performed in September 2012 by Beneficiary and Task.
It is part of the Monthly Activity Report.
T9.1 Data Access and Storage Facilities
FAO has overseen the integration builds of the tree-based access components submitted for release in 2.10.0, fixing a number of issues emerged in release builds as fragile-testing problems. FAO has prepared a presentation for the upcoming TCOM on the integration of tree-based access components within the rest of the system, liaising with CNR and NKUA to prepare a plan and propose solutions to the issues associated with each integration point (DTS, result presentation, annotations, home library, collection explorer). FAO has supported CNR in the development of the tree-manager plugin for the species-products-discovery service.

T9.2 Data Transfer Facilities
A new version of the data transfer components have been released for gCube 2.10.0. In addition an implementation of a Data Transfer Portlet has started. Upgrade and plans for the Data Transfer part have been presented at the TCom
A new version of the data transfer components has been released for gCube 2.10.0
NKUA has been working on performance test in combination with the usage along with ResultSetConsumer of Application Support Layer Search. The results will be presented at the 3rd TCOM. In addition, several bug fixes have been done in the gRS2.
In this period we worked, as expected, on the WPSClient. A first stable version is available and ready to be delivered. This is based on the 52 North WPSClient libraries, and it offers a Java library and a Command Line interface. Next period will include the pending documentation. The library provides the link between the EnvironmentExplorer Library and the WPS-hadoop and thus should be integrated in it.
T9.3 Data Assessment, Harmonization and Certification Facilities
SDMX registry: Study of SDMX 2.0 and 2.1 specifications: framework, information model, registry specifications, implementors and web service guidelines for registry and datasource.

The Tabular Data Widget has been updated:
- Added support to MySQL SQL dialect
- Added support to column sorting
- Added support to multiple instance of TDW in same application
No deviations or corrective actions to report.
- Better understand of SDMX technologies
- First prototype of a REST SDMX registry
- Improvement of TDW with new supported Database and features
