This WP7 Activity Report described the activities performed in January 2012 by Beneficiary and Task. It is part of January 2012 Activity Report.

T7.1 Software Integration, Validation and Release

E-IIS Activities

In the reporting period E-IIS continued the activity aimed to provide the support in ETICS for the integration of maven components in org.gcube. builds. In this phase, mavenize and mvn proxy tools have been further tested, refined and generalized. The aforementioned tools have been migrated in the official org.gcube SVN repository and added to org.gcube.HEAD configuration in ETICS. Those actions allowed new maven components to be seamless included in the integration builds.

Deliverable D7.1 has been finalized in the reporting period.

Milestone MS30 has been reached and documented.

The testing infrastructure setup has been delayed due to internal faults in E-IIS infrastructure. A new deadline for providing a fully functional testing infrastructure has been set by the end of February 2012.

  • setup of org.gcube.HEAD to integrate maven components
  • gCube 2.7.3 integration
  • Deliverable D7.1

T7.2 Software Distribution and Documentation

NKUA Activities

We updated the gCube Distribution site for 2.7.2 release by inserting in the database the corresponding entry.

A problem was reported where the Distribution Site failed to show information for releases 2.7.1 and the newly added 2.7.2. We identified that the problem was caused because the stable version XML files containing information for those releases were missing. We contacted the people responsible for the generation of these files to resolve this problem.

CNR Activities

Two bundles have been updated for simplifying the management operations of the software resources deployed in the data infrastructure. The two bundles include software packages, installation tools and default configurations for creating and upgrading gCube nodes (gHN-distribution) and portal instances (portal-bundle). Their latest versions (gHN-distribution 3.2.5 and portal-bundle 2.0.0) are already made available to WP5 and the other technical WPs and will be officially released in gCube 2.8.0 in February 2012.

Milestone MS31 has been reached and documented.
